experience in Labor, government, the private sector and in association management, DeMattos has a proven track record in building
teams of influence. He his known for helping organizations and individuals to reach key strategic objectives in community,
government and public relations.
DeMattos is a graduate of the University of Hawai'i and is also past president of the University of Hawai'i alumni
association. DeMattos holds a Master of Arts in Government from Johns Hopkins University. He has completed executive
education studies in Management at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. He is also an alumnus
of the Pacific Century Fellows Program, a Hawai'i-Pacific program modeled after the White House Fellows, and is a graduate
of Leadership Maryland. He teaches Leadership at the Erickson Graduate School at The University of Maryland, Baltimore
County.
